Objectives
- To foster the discovery, development, and use of voluntary, altered, and
enhanced states of consciousness - and the use of multi-sensory human
faculties that enable us to move beyond five-sensory limitations.
- To undertake ongoing investigation of the paradigm shift and world-wide
developments in the area of evolving human consciousness and function.
- To establish appropriate networking with others exploring this area.
- To provide training programs, processes, methodologies, materials,
and environments for multi-sensory training leading to enhanced
development
and function of inherent human potential, learning,
and performance of BODY ~ BRAIN ~ MIND
- To promote creative and cooperative (non-competitive) human attitudes
and behaviour patterns.
Our basic training includes the use of proven methods of meditation and visualization
to shift the gears of consciousness into the very special frequencies that allow us to
create our desired reality. This is the critical ‘missing link’ which underlies the use of
the Law of Attraction as described in books such as The Secret, A New World,
The Celestine Prophecy, and Think and Grow Rich. It is also the process by which
we are able to communicate with other levels of intelligence and prepare ourselves
to move forward as an evolving species.

I D E A Founder, Judith Sansweet
In 1980, Judith was guided to make a drastic life change, to leave her home in California to begin a new life in New Zealand. Her journey and work from that time has been dedicated to helping others to fulfill their inherent potential.
As a Certified Metabolic Therapist, she created Help Yourself to Health, a program of public workshops and personal nutritional counselling.
Through the creation of a series of Nutrition International symposia in the mid-1980s, she was instrumental in fostering the wide availability of nutritional supplementation in New Zealand
In her years of attention to the health of the body, she came to recognize the dominant role the mind plays, and shifted her focus to helping others to make better use of their minds.
As a long-time practitioner of the Silva Method, in 1986, she was invited to become the Lecturer, and eventually the Director, of the Silva Method in New Zealand.
Over the years, her personal development continued with training at the Monroe Institute in Virginia and is ongoing as she pursues her own spiritual growth through meditation, reading, and participation in group programs. |

In 1991, guidance appeared again and Judith was ‘inspired’ to bring into being I D E A,
the Institute for Development of Evolutionary Aptitudes. This inspiration struck a responsive chord;
she was reminded that at the time of her first encounter with the Silva Method in 1973, it was promoted
as “the next step in human evolution.”
The techniques it taught enabled one to function with extended sensory faculties - beyond the five
physical senses - in preparation for the evolutionary shift that was appearing on the horizon.
By 1990, Gary Zukav in his book The Seat of the Soul, and many others were also talking about the
evolutionary shift from five-sensory human to multi-sensory human.
As a Silva lecturer, Judith had seen first-hand how these skills could be easily learned. Although
students had varying levels of aptitude, she had also encountered those who had exceptional
experiences and became spiritually awakened virtually overnight.
Founding an institute to promote the development of these evolutionary aptitudes seemed a reasonable next step, and although its manifestation has been slow, it is now beginning to emerge. From the outset, I D E A has been a labor of love, supported by those who are deeply committed to the development and progress of humanity as we move through these times of great change. Through incorporating with I K O N, and advanced received teachings, the doors to the cosmos have been opened.
